Killing Rock Stars (DVD) Slim Moon`s Kill Rock Stars label was founded in 1991, the killing moon and aimed to release some primal punk rock sounds onto an eager public. Staunchly sticking to their independent stance, the label has subsequently flourished, the killing moon and its reputation within the indie-rock community is second to none. As the label grew, a variety of acts such as Sleater-Kinney, Unwound, the killing moon and many others found themselves releasing tracks through the label, although as the name suggests, Moon cared little for reputation the killing moon and continued to pump out regular releases by little known artists such as the Gossip, Deerhoof, the killing moon and the Decemberists. All of these artists feature on this 23 track compilation of videos from the Kill Rock Stars roster, giving viewers a visual taster of some of the acts who have released records through Slim Moon`s highly respected label.
